About Us
About CAUMUN & Those Behind it
The Model United Nations Club of the Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi is one of the oldest MUN clubs in Georgia. With a history spanning over a decade, the club, established under the guidance of its founder and long-standing head, Mrs. Ketevan Sturua, has shaped generations of delegates through a disciplined culture of research, diplomacy, and reasoned discourse.
It was GZAAT's MUN club that founded and organized the very first iteration of CAUMUN in early 2025. That inaugural effort laid the groundwork for what would become a leading annual regional conference in the Caucasus. The GZAAT MUN club continues to serve as CAUMUN’s principal architect, overseeing its vision, setting its standard, and training the delegates and chairs who carry it forward.
This year, CAUMUN returns with a new and promising partner the BGA MUN club. With the BGA teams' counselor - Tatia - supporting all their plans and Maka - the principle - leading their school with vision and care, the club prove to be exceptionally good partners.
Our mission for the upcoming conference, CAUMUN - World in Crisis, is clear - to host the largest, most competitive and most professional MUN conference in the wider Caucus region. Our conference, most importantly, prides itself on allowing all delegates, regardless of financial ability, to participate without any conference fees. Our mission, to sum up, is clear - to put Georgia on the map of the global MUN world.
